RUNNER SUPPORT
|
In the course of the build up to race day, we will bring you all the
essential training schedules and tips, medical advice, community links,
and athlete interviews, which we hope will prove informative and fun.
Once entries have opened have a look at the 'Am I In' section - a quick
and easy way for you to check your entry for the 2011 race. We have
also teamed up with RealBuzz for some great forums and an Interactive
Route Planner; and have introduced a dedicated section on Local Athletic
Clubs and Training Groups. Every year we feature a Bath Half Blogger
and last but not least, we also publish our very own training tips
specifically for The Bath Half. So watch this space!
In response to runner feedback have also created an area specifically
for those First Timers amongst you. So if this is your first half
marathon, don't worry, you're in the right place for all the tips and
support you'll need to have a really great race day experience. This
section includes specific Training Tips, Local Training Groups, buddy
groups and a handy Interactive Training Route Planner. |

Our friends at Lucozade Sport have also created some great training
tools (including a Race Time Predictor and Pace Band Maker), as well as
nutrition and training advice. They are also offering Bath Half 2010
runners an exclusive discount on their sports nutrition range. See the
Lucozade Sport Apps area. You can also subscribe to, or download our
Bath Half Newsletter which will keep you informed of key dates,
sponsor's promotions and other relevant information on the event |
The Bath Half has joined with the other leading UK road races and triathlons (including experts from the London Marathon and Great North Run) to produce a comprehensive on-line medical and nutritional guide for anyone considering taking part in an endurance running event. This is provides no-nonsense, sound, practical advice from the most experienced race medical teams in the UK designed to help you properly prepare during your training and for race day itself.
