Quartet Community Foundation

The main focus of Quartet Community Foundation is to change people’s lives for the better across the West of England.  We do this by enabling a wide variety of donors to fund projects that make a difference where people live and work.

Quartet Community Foundation is an independent charity which aims to:

•connect those who care about local good causes with those making a difference

•award grants to community groups helping people in greatest need

•build permanent endowment to sustain the voluntary sector over the long-term

•provide community leadership to solve local problems

Over the past 25 years we have made grants of over £25 million and built a permanent endowment of over £16 million. We distribute over 1,000 grants each year to voluntary and community groups across the West of England.

Our near term aim as we celebrate our 25th Anniversary on November 26th 2011 is to engage with and energise the next generation of Quartet Community Foundation donors and supporters.

Since 2003 the Bath Half Marathon Fund, established by Running High Events, has distributed over £73,000 through Quartet Community Foundation to local community groups. In 2010/11 a total of £15,000 has been given out.

Run for Quartet Community Foundation and you will be helping local Bath people most in need have access to opportunities to a healthier lifestyle. For example Quartet supported Headway enabling them to offer Tai Chi and gym session to their members, all of whom suffer with an acquired brain injury. Also a local pre school was able to purchase low level basketball nets giving the young children the chance to learn basketball which they  would not otherwise have had.
