Jamie's Farm
'From the minute I left your home, my life started’ Ana, year 10
Jamie’s Farm exists to transform the lives of hard to reach children in challenging urban schools, by providing a unique combination of ‘farming, family and therapy’ through a short stay residential and follow up programme. We aim to re-engage children with educational life, and enable them to fulfil their potential both in school and the wider social setting.
Jamie’s Farm have been running the Bath Half Marathon since 2010 and have raised over £25,000 by doing so. This money has had a huge impact on the charity, enabling us to transform the lives of vulnerable children in challenging urban schools, by providing a unique combination of ‘farming, family and therapy’ through residential visits. Money raised goes directly towards running these visits and allows us to work with more children in more schools.
Jamie’s Farm supports all of the running team through a range of ways including organising training runs and fabulous farm running shirts. All runners are invited to our pre-race Pasta Party at Jamie’s Farm on the evening before the race, to meet the rest of the team and load up on carbs. We will also be celebrating in style after the race – and will be offering prizes to the biggest fundraiser and fastest runners
We also hope to be well represented through a range of corporate teams, so if you are interested in setting up a Jamie’s Farm work team please contact Jane Brinson on 08712 377 991 email us for more information
