Genesis Trust
Want to run for a local charity who are making a real difference on the streets of Bath? Then run for the Genesis Trust this year – and help us support over 3000 vulnerable and homeless adults in 2014.
They might be your neighbour, they might be your friend, but everyone will know someone in Bath who is struggling to get by right now, and needs a helping hand to get back on track.
You can make a positive difference to their lives.
At Genesis we provide food to people who need it (Bath Foodbank, Soup Run, Lunchbox and Sunday Centre) low cost furniture to those who can’t afford it (the Furniture Project) we befriend and support people who are homeless (the Lifeline) and we provide training projects and volunteer placements to help people develop new skills and get back into work (Life Skills, the WoodWorks and the Furniture Project) We also support vulnerable people who are out on the streets at night, on Fridays and Saturdays (Street Pastors).
We do all this with only 14 paid staff and over 500 volunteers – so you can be reassured that your sponsorship money will be used very wisely.
Please consider using your place in the Bath Half Marathon to support our work or take one of our 20 Silver Bond entries.
We ask you to raise a minimum of £200 in sponsorship, but in return we give you the following:
- We will pay your £37 entry fee (but we ask you to please reimburse us if you withdraw before the event)
- Friendly support and advice before and during the event
- Quality running vest/T-shirt
- Free Krispy Kreme doughnut!
